Sensors

IONX Edge™ optional wired and wireless sensors provide users with additional information about their railcars and lading, including door and hatch open/close, temperature readings and empty/load. Accelerometers are available on the Series 2 and Series 3 models.

Sensors use industrial-grade, embedded components to withstand harsh operating environments. You can install the sensors quickly and change settings according to your needs.

Stealth external antenna

The communications management unit (CMU) includes an internal antenna. However, by using our optional external antenna, you gain greater flexibility during the installation process (available for the Series 1 and 3 models). The antenna provides communication ability when the CMU must be placed out of sight on your rail asset.

Solar power

Do you prefer solar power for your fleet tracking needs? The IONX Edge Series 2 is powered by rechargeable sealed lead acid batteries that are recharged with a solar panel.
