Technology tough enough for rail
IONX asset monitoring systems stand up to harsh rail operating environments. They give fleet managers the ability to proactively and confidently make decisions about the railcar that could ultimately save their companies or their customers time and money.
Satellite and cellular communications – Various options in communication technology give users optimal coverage for their operational needs, whether local or worldwide.
Communication management unit (CMU)– The CMU is the “intelligence center” of the system, using GPS to locate rail car, locomotive and fleet vehicle assets anywhere in the world for near-real-time global tracking. It also uses satellite or cellular service to transmit location and status information directly to the user’s computer or cellular telephone.
Power management and communication systems – The entire system leverages IONX’s proprietary ultra-low power technology that extends the life and charge of the batteries in the CMU as well as its sensors.
Online Web interface - Access fleet information 24/7 with a secure login to IONX’s Web interface. Here you can see the activity of your fleet, right down to the individual asset level.
