Bourque Data Systems Certifies IONX’s Edge™ Asset Monitoring System

Rail shippers can now access IONX asset monitoring data within the BDS RAILTRAC® system.

The Woodlands, TX — September 23, 2009 — Today Bourque Data Systems (BDS), a leader in rail logistics software, has certified for use with its RAILTRAC® system, the IONX Edge™ asset monitoring system for railcars. With this integration, shippers can now enhance decision-making, asset management and regulatory compliance through regular data feeds and alerts on the location and status of railcars.

IONX LLC, a business unit of Amsted Rail, offers the Edge™ asset monitoring system for railcars — a technically advanced, robust fleet tracking and monitoring product. The system delivers location and condition status reports through either satellite or cellular connections to help shippers, offerors and others improve shipment safety, security, turn cycles and fleet utilization.
